Welcome to Patton Spirits.
This year, my Georgetown roommate Kristoffer Mack and I founded Patton Spirits LLC, and have created special formulas of Kentucky Straight Bourbon and Rye - in the spirit of my grandfather General George S Patton, Jr, and my late great Dad, Major General George S Patton.
When we were at Georgetown, Kris and I along with other friends and classmates sailed all over the Chesapeake Bay with my old man aboard our sloop, Arcturus III. What a time it was...
Some of our stories from those days may be a bit salty to share with you here, but we had a ball…
- Playing poker with dad was always exciting in the cigar smoke-filled main cabin, especially when Kris misdealt and Dad would stare him down, pointing his index finger at him like a trigger and saying, “Better be careful, or you’ll end up like Wild Bill Hickock. Aces and Eights.”
- Or my much-missed cowboy brother George, who loved sailing and had a thing for raiding the galley stores and sneaking handfuls of Chips Ahoys in the wee hours of the night. Kris would sometimes see him and ask playfully:
"Whaddaya got there, George?” “Nuttin'.""Are those chocolate chip cookies?" "Nope."
End of conversation. Classic!

I tend to lean toward Rye, and as a parttime Manhattanite, I do love those Manhattans.
Kris is a purist. Straight Bourbon. The perfect crystal tumbler. One pristine ice cube. Probably sitting at the bar in his beloved Explorer's Club in New York City.
Anyway, we're releasing a 400 cases of each expression and I want you to know.
