From Our Man in Kosovo: Rob Gulick responds to the Iowa Caucus musings of Adam Feiges:

“Since Adam brought it up... If Obama becomes our next President, I'm in with several UN coeds who have until now rebuffed my advances with the simple question, "Are you American?"

I live in Pristina, Kosovo, by the way, where 90% of the native population has names like Hussein. Ironically, they'd all vote for Hillary if they had the chance. Pristina's main drag here is named "Bill Clinton Boulevard," after all, and many regard Albright as their queen. But, alas, don't let anyone tell you that Bill and Hillary (or Albright and Holbrooke) "fixed" the Balkans. Just Google 'Kosovo' news. To be fair, it's an incredibly complicated situation. Thousands of shades of gray, like the rest of the world. Which is precisely why I'd say it's high time for someone like Obama.”

And our man who’s “been there”, Drew Schiff, comments on Adam’s view of the Iowa Caucus system: “Pls tell adam that this is a spectacular summary of how this process, which is soooo different from all other processes, works.”

Boston Region Event:

Great to spend some quality time with John Homer and Josh Greenberg the other day. Almost as good as reunions! John works at Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Josh works at Children’s Hospital – so there was plenty to talk about!

PLEASE TAKE A MINUTE to block the dates on your calendar - June 13-15, 2008 – so you have the option of attending. More planning information will be forthcoming.

ANNUAL SUPPORT: Please take a minute to think about the kind of stretch commitment you could make for our 25th. It makes a huge difference for Deerfield, with over 30% of the total coming from the 9 reunion classes – not including the 50th reunion… THANKS
